This elegant, warm, soft shawl will be your best friend on a cold day and will enhance any outfit, smart or casual. This product is soft to the touch, very lightweight and extremely warm. The wool comes from the soft downy undercoat of the Himalayan goats, necessary to keep them warm during the winters of the Ladakh Himalayan Mountains where temperatures are often 45 degrees below zero. The best wool comes from goats wintering above 3000 feet. In the spring, the goats shed their undercoat, which means this is a natural process and the nomads of the Himalayan region collect this undercoat by combing the goats. The wool is then spun, skilfully woven and embroidered – all by hand.
